Curricular Dance Lessons and Extra-Curricular Dance Clubs in Schools
Primary Schools
Our highly qualified and experienced teachers can plan, teach and assess Dance lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. These support the National Curriculum and contribute to the Government’s recommended 60 minutes of physical activity per day.
Dance has the ability to communicate a wide range of topics and stimuli. Our cross-curricular Dance lessons distil key concepts from P.E. to Geography to Science to Art. We provide pupils with an active and creative learning experience, which can help to boost understanding and memory. Dance is one of the few subjects able to develop the whole person; emotionally, socially, mentally and physically. It aids the development of transferable skills such as resilience, confidence and independence. Dance supports pupils’ ability to keep themselves physically and mentally healthy- something that is also highly valued by Ofsted.
Special Education
Our inclusive and highly differentiated Dance lessons can also be taught in Special Schools. We support the National Curriculum and can also contribute to qualifications such as Arts Awards and ASDAN.
We pride ourselves on our personalised approach to pupil-centred learning. This enables our lessons to be accessible to all, regardless of any additional needs or disability.
Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
Extra-Curricular Clubs in Schools
Collective Motion Dance can also deliver breakfast, lunch time and after-school clubs.
Dance Clubs can be a welcome addition to schools:
-adding variety to an existing provision,
-providing opportunities for the least active to have fun and improve fitness,
-stretching and challenging gifted and talented pupils through competitions and performances.
We provide clubs in a range of styles including creative movement, contemporary, street, musical theatre, jazz/modern, ballet, tap, yoga and more.
