Build confidence through dance classes in Basingstoke.

Suitable for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

Two classes on offer:

5-5:30pm Sensory Movement, suitable for children who love exploring sensory props but are still developing the ability to follow instructions. These children may be younger or have more severe/ complex needs. Parents/carers stay to join in with the fun! 3yrs+

5:30-6.10pm Creative Dance, suitable for children who love to dance and want to learn simple dance routines. They are able to follow instructions (most of the time). Guidance age 6+

6:15-7:15pm Creative Jazz Dance, the natural progression from our Creative Dance classes. These classes are fantastic if your child loves learning more advanced routines, introducing elements of dance technique and building their confidence to perform their own choreography. Guidance age 14+

Classes are Makaton friendly.

Description

Inclusive dance classes in Popley, Basingstoke.

Dance classes for children (3 yrs+) with additional needs.

Creative dance classes help you to come out of your shell. You’ll blossom through dance classes, even if you are very shy.

  • Learn the fundamentals of dance and keep active

You will turn, clap and travel your way through classes. Learning new movement. You will develop body awareness, mobility and  co-ordination, while having tons of fun!

Our classes use scarves, foil blankets, cardboard boxes and more, alongside creative movement and our imaginations to explore weekly themes. You will develop problem solving skills while enjoying expressing yourself in a new way.

  • Practice social / communication skills and make friends

Classes include small group activities, so that you practice listening, turn taking and working as a team, even if you have communication difficulties.

  • Leave class feeling calmer

Classes finish with a relaxing cool down, helping you to feel calmer after channelling your energy into dancing.
